AV Technician Assistant

About the role

The All Hallows’ School ICT team is looking for an AV Technician Assistant to join a collaborative environment supporting audio‑visual services for students and staff. This full‑time permanent position starts in July 2026 and involves day‑to‑day organisational assistance under the Senior Audio Visual Technician.

Key responsibilities

• Provide hands‑on AV and technical support across the school’s sound, lighting and display systems.
• Maintain and troubleshoot equipment to ensure reliable performance for daily use, events, performances and examinations.
• Assist with set‑up and operation of AV equipment for school functions, often requiring after‑hours support.
• Work closely with the ICT team to deliver responsive and dependable service.

Required profile

• Current Queensland Working with Children Clearance (Blue Card) and eligibility to work in Australia.
• Diploma in Technical Production or Music/Audio Production, or at least one year of AV experience in a live‑event or educational setting.
• Current Working at Heights accreditation and willingness to obtain any additional clearances required.
• Commitment to the values and ethos of Catholic Mercy education.
