Assistant Manager – Business Banking

About the role

The Assistant Manager will support Relationship Managers in delivering banking solutions to small and medium enterprise customers. This permanent, full‑time position is based in Melbourne and focuses on financial analysis, credit strategy and customer revenue growth.

Key responsibilities

• Assist Relationship Managers in providing tailored banking solutions and insights to customers.
• Conduct financial analysis and develop appropriate credit and customer strategies.
• Maintain a professional market profile and stay informed about customers' industries.
• Collaborate with internal functions and stakeholders to deliver seamless service.
• Demonstrate ANZ values in all interactions with customers and colleagues.

Required profile

• Strong financial literacy and commercial acumen.
• Analytical ability to interpret financial trends and implications.
• Experience building relationships in a customer‑facing role.
• Understanding of security arrangement structuring.
• Banking experience is advantageous but not mandatory.
• Preferably holds an accounting or finance degree, though not essential.
