Assistant Development Manager - New Business

About the role

Join a leading Australian development group as an Assistant Development Manager within the New Business team. You will support the identification, assessment, and progression of early‑stage development opportunities across a diverse portfolio of asset classes.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with the assessment and progression of new development opportunities.
• Support rezoning, planning and SSDA processes across multiple projects.
• Prepare and maintain development feasibilities and financial analyses.
• Undertake market research, due diligence and opportunity assessments.
• Contribute to development strategy, master planning and design direction.
• Help prepare submissions, bids and internal investment papers.
• Coordinate consultants and stakeholders during planning and strategy phases.
• Support initiatives aimed at unlocking value across existing assets and the broader portfolio.

Required profile

• 2‑5 years’ experience in property development, advisory, planning, acquisitions or a related field.
• Exposure to development feasibilities and commercial analysis.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
• Analytical mindset with curiosity about strategic development.
• Tertiary qualification in Property, Commerce, Finance, Planning, Engineering or a related discipline.
