Air Force Doctor – Clinical & Leadership Role

About the role

The Australian Defence Force is seeking qualified doctors to join the Air Force medical team. You will deliver high‑standard patient care, lead multidisciplinary teams, and support the health of service members and civilians across diverse operational settings.

Key responsibilities

• Provide medical care to military personnel and the civilian community.
• Offer occupational and aviation medical advice.
• Supervise, lead and manage health professionals and subordinate staff.
• Maintain accurate medical documentation and liaise with non‑ADF medical agencies.
• Plan, coordinate and execute aeromedical evacuations in tactical, operational and strategic environments.
• Monitor long‑term physical and mental fitness of Air Force and ADF members.
• Assist in health response during natural disaster events.

Required profile

• Minimum age of 17 at enlistment.
• Australian citizenship.
• Recognised degree in Medicine.
