About the role
The Advancement Manager will lead Canberra Grammar School’s philanthropic programme at a pivotal moment as the school approaches its Centenary in 2029. This senior position owns major gifts, planned giving and the Centenary campaign while overseeing alumni engagement, archives and donor relations.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and execute the school’s case for support and fundraising strategy.
- Identify, cultivate and close five‑ and six‑figure major gifts and bequest prospects.
- Lead an integrated team responsible for alumni relations, archives and donor stewardship.
- Collaborate with Foundation Board members and major donors throughout the full donor cycle.
- Design and sequence the Centenary philanthropic campaign to secure long‑term support.
Required profile
- Proven record of securing major gifts in the five‑ to six‑figure range.
- Strong relational intelligence and discretion when engaging senior donors and board members.
- Experience leading fundraising programmes in an educational or not‑for‑profit setting.
- Ambition to shape a legacy programme that will define the next hundred years of the school.
