Accountant – Finance & Compliance (Sydney)

About the role

Global Pay is seeking a diligent Accountant to join its Sydney office. You will work in a fast‑moving, detail‑sensitive environment supporting both accounting and compliance functions for high‑value cross‑border payments.

Key responsibilities

• Daily bookkeeping and general ledger maintenance
• Accounts payable and receivable processing
• Bank reconciliation and month‑end closing assistance
• Support financial reporting and documentation
• Conduct daily transaction reviews and basic KYC/customer due‑diligence checks
• Assist AML/CTF compliance processes and maintain related records
• Help with audit and regulatory requests

Required profile

• Native or near‑native English and fluent Chinese (spoken and written)
• Strong attention to detail and clear communication
• Reliable, responsible and able to manage multiple tasks proactively

Required skills

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel
• Experience with accounting systems such as Xero
