Technician – On-site & Workshop Support

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Technician to support our Lead Technician in both on‑site and workshop environments. The role involves assisting the team, maintaining records and ensuring a clean, safe workspace while representing Furmanite’s services.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Lead Technician with on‑site and workshop tasks and step in for the Senior Technician when required.
• Support the Base Supervisor with daily job allocation in the absence of a Senior Technician.
• Maintain a daily diary and keep the work area tidy in both workshop and field locations.
• Promote Furmanite’s products and business solutions to clients.
• Follow the AS/NZS ISO 9001:2000 quality system and company policies.

Required profile

• Qualification as a Fitter & Turner, Fitter Machinist or equivalent trade skill.
• Trade certificate is highly preferable.
• Valid Australian driver’s licence and a current Construction Card.
• Willingness to work on‑shore, off‑shore and remote sites, including shift work.
• Ability to set priorities, meet deadlines and work with minimal supervision.
• Good written and verbal communication in English.
