Team Lead Training Systems Support

About the role

BAE Systems is seeking a Team Lead to oversee the administration, configuration, and daily operation of its Training Systems portfolio. This role supports the Whole of Ship, Combat System, and Platform Systems training teams, ensuring that learning technologies are reliable, up‑to‑date, and aligned with defence project requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the development, maintenance, and continuous improvement of Training Systems guides, work instructions, and process documentation.
• Oversee instructional design activities to ensure training products meet analysis outcomes and governance standards.
• Manage system upgrades, enhancements, and configuration baselines for TMS, LMS, authoring toolsets, VR and simulation technologies.
• Produce accurate Training Systems data outputs for metrics, reporting, and auditability.
• Provide technical advice on network infrastructure and training equipment requirements.
• Coordinate quarterly interstate travel to attend customer workshops and team meetings.

Required profile

• Eligibility for Defence security clearance and ITAR compliance.
• Proven experience leading training‑system or instructional‑design teams in a complex technical environment.
• Strong understanding of governance frameworks for training technology.
