Tax Lawyer / Tax Consultant – Remote Flexible Role

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Tax Lawyer or Tax Consultant to join our boutique firm, delivering sophisticated tax advice to blue‑chip clients. The position offers genuine work‑from‑home flexibility while allowing occasional hybrid collaboration at our Perth office.

Key responsibilities

• Advise on complex direct and indirect federal and state tax matters, both advisory and transactional.
• Manage ATO and RevenueWA engagements, including information requests, audits, and disputes.
• Prepare and act on taxation objections, reviews, and appeals.
• Draft documents related to trusts, wills, estates, and support family offices with tax, succession, and estate planning.
• Provide advice on commercial, family, charitable, and corporate restructures, including NFP organisations.
• Prepare commercial documents and support corporate restructuring projects.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of experience in tax law.
• Admission to practice law in Western Australia or ability to obtain admission promptly.
• Background in a law‑firm environment preferred; experience from Big 4, accounting/tax consulting, corporate tax, or the ATO is also valuable.
• Strong communication, attention to detail, and technical advisory abilities.
• Ability to manage files autonomously while contributing to a collaborative team.

Required skills

• Tax law expertise (federal, state, direct, indirect).
• Drafting of legal documents for trusts, wills, estates, and corporate structures.
• Experience with ATO and RevenueWA processes.
