Senior SAP BTP Consultant – Extensions

About the role

We are looking for a Senior SAP BTP Consultant specialized in extensions to design, build and govern cloud‑native solutions on the SAP Business Technology Platform. The role will work closely with functional teams, architects and business stakeholders to deliver clean‑core, upgrade‑safe extensions for SAP S/4HANA and other SAP applications.

Key responsibilities

• Design side‑by‑side extensions on SAP BTP aligned with Clean Core and SAP Extensibility Guidelines.
• Define extension strategies using SAP BTP services such as CAP, Kyma, SAP Build and ABAP Environment.
• Translate business requirements into extensible, maintainable technical solutions.
• Lead development of extensions using SAP Cloud Application Programming Model (CAP) with Node.js, Java or ABAP Cloud, and SAP Build Apps & Process Automation.
• Implement UI extensions with SAP Fiori Elements and SAPUI5.
• Ensure API‑first, event‑driven and loosely coupled designs.
• Enforce clean core compliance and best practices for extensions.
• Implement CI/CD pipelines, code quality standards and security controls.
• Guide teams on lifecycle management and extensibility governance.
• Act as a technical advisor to customers and internal delivery teams.
• Mentor junior consultants and developers.
• Contribute to solution roadmaps and innovation initiatives.

Required profile

• 5+ years of SAP experience, including at least 3 years on SAP BTP.
• Strong hands‑on experience with SAP BTP Extension Suite and side‑by‑side extensibility.
• Proven experience extending SAP S/4HANA (cloud or private edition).
• Knowledge of SAP domain models and business processes is desirable.
• Relevant SAP BTP or SAP S/4HANA certifications are a plus.
