Senior Accountant – Advisory & Tax

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Accountant to join our Advisory & Tax practice. In this position you will apply your technical accounting expertise to deliver high‑quality advisory and tax services for a diverse client base, while developing your skills in strategic forecasting and budgeting.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare financial statements, tax returns, Business Activity Statements (BAS) and Fringe Benefits Tax (FBT) schedules.
• Provide tax advisory services, applying knowledge of assessable income, allowable deductions, GST, Capital Gains Tax, indirect tax and Division 7A across individuals, entities and investment portfolios.
• Monitor emerging accounting issues, regulatory changes and legislative updates to ensure client compliance.
• Develop financial forecasts, strategic plans and budgets to add value to client decision‑making.

Required profile

• 5–7 years of hands‑on experience in business advisory and tax compliance.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field.
• Completed or near‑completion of CA/CPA qualification (or equivalent).
• Highly organized, self‑motivated and detail‑oriented with strong communication abilities.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in Xero accounting software.
• Expert use of Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook.
