Retail Merchandiser

About the role

TCCD is looking for a driven Retail Merchandiser to lead in‑store execution across a defined territory, representing key client brands in independent grocery stores. Reporting to the National Field Manager, you will build trusted relationships, challenge the status quo and deliver measurable sales growth.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain transparent relationships with store owners and managers.
• Execute store‑level sales strategies that disrupt conventional approaches and achieve volume and distribution targets.
• Educate retailers using category insights and product knowledge.
• Negotiate effectively to meet budgeted goals.
• Interpret data to influence in‑store decisions and drive performance.
• Collaborate with Account Managers to ensure seamless execution of MSO plans.
• Plan and manage territory to maximise efficiency and impact.

Required profile

• Previous retail or FMCG sales experience.
• Proven ability to build trust‑based commercial relationships.
• Strong communication and influencing skills across diverse stakeholder groups.
• Confidence in financial discussions and ROI‑based selling.
• Comfortable working independently and on the move.
• Experience using data and insights to inform sales strategy.
• Knowledge of category‑based and shopper‑led selling principles.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
