Registered Nurse – Molecular Imaging Department

About the role

The Royal Prince Alfred Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse to join its Department of Molecular Imaging. You will provide nursing care for both inpatient and outpatient services, supporting PET and Nuclear Medicine procedures while ensuring patient safety and comfort.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver general nursing care to patients undergoing PET and Nuclear Medicine scans.
• Book appointments, prepare patients, and obtain informed consent for procedures.
• Perform intravenous cannulation for radioactive injections.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to maintain a safe, efficient workflow.
• Adhere to infection control and radiation safety protocols.

Required profile

• Current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (AHPRA).
• Minimum two years post‑graduation ward experience.
• Australian working rights.
• Willingness to become proficient in cannulating.

Required skills

• Experience with Positron Emission Tomography (PET) imaging.
• Knowledge of Nuclear Medicine procedures.
• Intravenous cannulation skills.
