Quality Control Specialist – Maryborough

About the role

ABB is seeking a results‑driven Quality Control Specialist to join its new Maryborough facility. The role focuses on embedding quality throughout the production of traction products, ensuring compliance with internal, customer and industry standards.

Key responsibilities

• Own and embed the factory Quality Management Plan and lead all quality audit activities, including floor‑level execution.
• Design, plan and execute tests, controls, verifications and validations for products, systems or software, meeting defined acceptance criteria.
• Coordinate quality control interfaces between supplier quality, production, testing, validation and engineering to drive improvements.
• Deliver quality‑related training on the production floor and promote a culture of quality and integrity.
• Implement reporting mechanisms and track metrics related to incoming items, production, factory or software test labs, and final inspection to support on‑time delivery.

Required profile

• Proven experience in quality control or quality assurance within an industrial/manufacturing environment.
• Ability to work hands‑on on the shop floor and lead audit activities.
• Strong collaboration skills with cross‑functional teams such as Safety, Planning, Engineering and Production.
• Willingness to relocate to the Fraser Coast region if not already based there.
• Commitment to continuous improvement and safe working practices.
