Planning Specialist – 7-Month Fixed-Term Contract

About the role

We are looking for a detail‑oriented Planning Specialist to join our Kingsgrove Roastery on a 7‑month fixed‑term contract. Reporting to the Plant Manager, you will drive production planning, optimise resource use and support timely delivery of high‑quality coffee products.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and manage weekly production plans aligned with demand forecasts and plant capacity.
• Coordinate export production requirements and partner with Demand Planning and Operations to resolve planning issues.
• Troubleshoot SAP APO‑related planning problems and maintain SAP master data and Bills of Materials.
• Plan and order raw materials based on forecast demand.
• Coordinate weekly transport to third‑party logistics providers, manage SAP stock transactions and create purchase orders and shipment documentation.
• Ensure production orders are completed accurately and on time within SAP, resolving system discrepancies such as COGI errors.
• Manage Loscam pallet accounts and variances.
• Analyse production performance, report plan‑vs‑actual variances and implement corrective actions.

Required profile

• Strong SAP expertise, preferably with SAP APO.
• Background in manufacturing or supply‑chain planning.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced operational environment.
• Attention to detail and proactive problem‑solving attitude.
