About the role
We are looking for a law student with prior paralegal experience to join our Sydney office on an ASAP basis. This casual position requires a minimum of three days per week and provides dedicated support to our Commodities team.
Key responsibilities
- Organise and prepare documents, briefs, court books and bundles for counsel, experts, mediation and trials.
- Draft, proofread and file legal letters, court documents and submissions.
- Conduct legal, procedural and case‑law research to support matters and court proceedings.
- Communicate with courts, counsel, opposing parties and third parties as required.
- Review, summarise, index and transcribe evidence, discovered documents and subpoena material.
- Attend court hearings, take notes, appear in minor matters and assist with administrative tasks such as searches and discovery.
Required profile
- Currently studying an LLB or JD.
- Prior paralegal experience is required.
- Strong organisational and time‑management abilities with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Excellent communication, attention to detail and a positive attitude.
