Operational Buyer

About the role

The Operational Buyer will support the factory manufacturing plan by purchasing raw and packaging materials, as well as sundry items, while ensuring compliance with Nestlé policies and corporate governance.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with safety, health and environmental standards in the warehouse and shipping areas.
• Manage vendor performance to achieve delivery‑in‑full and on‑time targets.
• Handle quality incidents through the QP system and support internal audits.
• Perform regular master‑data health checks and maintain business continuity planning requirements.
• Oversee RFA and RSPO portal documentation.
• Execute MRP planning, forecasting, and shipping for raw‑material and packaging commodities.
• Control inventory levels to minimise write‑off costs and optimise stock.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives in forecasting and purchasing processes.
• Participate in cross‑functional projects, including new product development.
• Ensure material availability for production through effective supply planning.

Required profile

• Strong communication skills to understand stakeholder needs and negotiate solutions.
• Excellent organisational abilities to prioritise tasks and manage factory impact.
• Proven team player who can take ownership of responsibilities.
• Resilient and adaptable in a dynamic post‑COVID supply‑chain environment.

Required skills

• Experience with global commodity processes such as importing, shipping, MACC and commodity forecasting.
• Local and international supplier management.
• Knowledge of inventory optimisation and risk mitigation.
• Proficiency in SAP.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Office – Word, PowerPoint, Excel.
• Power BI for reporting and analysis.
