Night Shift Maintenance Technician

About the role

Amazon is hiring permanent Night Shift Maintenance Technicians for its Horsley Park site in Sydney. You will keep the fulfilment centre running safely and efficiently by maintaining, repairing and improving material handling, automated packaging and distribution equipment.

Key responsibilities

• Perform planned preventative maintenance on all site equipment.
• Respond quickly to breakdowns, diagnose faults and restore equipment to operation.
• Communicate clearly with affected teams during incidents.
• Provide feedback and suggestions for long‑term reliability improvements.
• Support senior technicians and assist with general building maintenance.

Required profile

• Certificate III in Electrotechnology with a current electrical trade licence, or Certificate III in Engineering, or a Mechanical Trade qualification (Fitter/Turner) – or an equivalent Australian recognised qualification.
• Experience with planned preventative maintenance systems and fault finding on material handling or automation equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical drawings.
• Experience maintaining conveyors, motor controllers and inverters.
• Knowledge of relevant health and safety standards and regulations.
