Mechanical & Structural Engineer/Draftsperson (On‑site)

About the role

We are seeking an on‑site Engineer/Draftsperson to join our Tonsley office. The successful candidate will create accurate mechanical and structural drawings, interpret design specifications and support project delivery for multi‑storey building projects across South Australia.

Key responsibilities

• Produce construction drawings for fabrication and assembly, ensuring compliance with Australian Standards and Building Codes.
• Develop Bills of Materials and drive material optimisation.
• Conduct Finite Element Analysis (FEA) and support product design, development and testing.
• Maintain project documentation and provide technical support during planning and installation phases.
• Collaborate with project managers, customers and internal teams, attending site visits and meetings.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, drafting, design or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Experience in mechanical and/or structural design and drafting.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast‑paced environment.
• Excellent communication skills and a customer‑focused mindset.
• Legal right to work in Australia.
