Maintenance Fitter

About the role

We are seeking a Maintenance Fitter to join our skilled team at the Crestmead dairy site. In this hands‑on position you will work closely with site teams to improve equipment reliability, boost performance and support safe, efficient operations across our FMCG manufacturing environment.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out preventative, predictive and corrective maintenance to keep equipment safe and reliable.
• Respond promptly to breakdowns, minimizing disruption and keeping production on track.
• Identify and support continuous‑improvement opportunities to enhance performance and reliability.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to share knowledge, build capability and deliver quality outcomes.
• Support a strong safety, care and quality culture, ensuring all work meets required standards.

Required profile

• Certificate III in Mechanical Engineering or a relevant trade qualification (essential).
• Experience in FMCG or manufacturing environments, preferably with processing or packaging equipment.
• Strong problem‑solving ability with a practical approach to root‑cause analysis.
• Understanding of asset care and maintenance systems focused on reliability.
• Collaborative, team‑focused attitude with clear communication skills.
