About the role
The Sebel Noosa is looking for a Maintenance Assistant to keep its apartments and communal areas in top condition. You will be the “handyman” who tackles repairs, paint jobs, and improvements, spotting issues early to prevent larger problems. This role combines independent problem‑solving with teamwork in a vibrant beachfront hotel environment.
Key responsibilities
- Maintain rooms, amenities and shared spaces to high standards.
- Collaborate with the hotel team and external contractors, while also working autonomously.
- Identify and resolve maintenance issues before they escalate.
- Carry out preventative maintenance projects and ad‑hoc repairs across the property.
Required profile
- Physically fit with a “get‑up‑and‑go” attitude and commitment to safe, presentable work.
- Practical experience in general building maintenance – carpentry, plumbing or electrical – no formal qualification required.
- Strong problem‑solving ability and clear communication with managers, guests and contractors.
- Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
