Lead Mobile Developer – React Native

About the role

Thoughtworks is looking for a Lead Mobile Developer with deep expertise in React Native to guide client projects from concept to production. You will act as the primary technical liaison, shaping strategy, coaching teams, and delivering high‑quality mobile solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Champion clean, reusable code and best practices such as TDD, mobile architecture patterns, design reviews, and pair programming.
• Own or participate in the full software delivery lifecycle, from ideation through evolution in production.
• Design platform‑appropriate, seamless, human‑centered experiences for client users.
• Make pragmatic technology choices, balancing constraints, accessibility, privacy, and performance.
• Apply continuous delivery and DevSecOps practices to accelerate release speed and embed security early.
• Collaborate in product‑focused, cross‑functional teams and apply insights from Thoughtworks’ Technology Radar.
• Stay hands‑on, coding alongside developers across multiple languages.

Required profile

• 8+ years of mobile application development with strong hands‑on React Native experience.
• Proven leadership of software teams using Agile, Lean, and Continuous Delivery methods (TDD, CI, pairing, infrastructure automation).
• Ability to address mobile‑specific concerns such as vendor lock‑in, constrained environments, offline operation, release cycles, accessibility, and privacy.
• Passion for continuous learning in functional programming, modern UI patterns, and platform engineering.
• Experience influencing peers and advocating technical excellence.
