Key Account Manager

About the role

Monotype is seeking an experienced Key Account Manager to own the renewal and upsell process for its enterprise customers in Australia. You will act as a trusted advisor, helping brands maximize the value of Monotype’s type and technology solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Consult with existing enterprise customers across assigned territories to understand needs and deliver Monotype’s value proposition.
• Learn and become a subject‑matter expert on Monotype’s product portfolio, including typefaces and related technologies.
• Negotiate and close strategic renewal deals, meeting personal sales quotas and goals.
• Create detailed account plans that identify renewal and upsell opportunities.
• Upsell and cross‑sell additional solutions to key renewal accounts.
• Review purchase orders and contracts to ensure compliance with company policies.
• Maintain accurate client and prospect information in the CRM database.
• Communicate Monotype’s solutions to C‑level stakeholders using value‑based selling, business case development, ROI analysis and research data.
• Collaborate with internal teams such as marketing, finance, sales, and technical support to align renewal strategies.

Required profile

• Ambitious, organized sales professional with a proven track record of meeting or exceeding quotas.
• Excellent verbal and written communication and networking skills.
• Strong team orientation and ability to leverage internal and external resources.
• Experience in software, technology, publishing, media, advertising or design markets is preferred.
• Ability to manage a complex sales cycle from demo through negotiation and closing.
