IT Specialist – Infrastructure & Cybersecurity

About the role

The IT Specialist will be responsible for maintaining a reliable and secure IT environment for the headquarters in Macquarie Park. This role bridges the regional office with the China HQ IT function and supports day‑to‑day operations across the company.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee HQ IT systems including servers, networks, cloud platforms and ensure high availability and security.
• Manage disaster recovery, business continuity plans and initial web/email domain configurations.
• Provision and support staff accounts (Windows login, email) and purchase/maintain laptops, desktops and other office equipment.
• Coordinate with China HQ IT, enforce cybersecurity policies, conduct audits and vulnerability assessments.
• Manage vendor relationships, negotiate contracts and lead IT procurement and tender processes.
• Oversee data governance, master data management and implement business intelligence tools for operational insights.
• Maintain IT asset registers and prepare annual IT budgets (Capex and Opex).

Required profile

• Strong knowledge of automotive industry processes.
• Experience with cybersecurity frameworks and compliance.
• Proven leadership and project‑management abilities.
• Excellent communication and problem‑solving skills.
