Integration Architect – Enterprise SAP Integration (6‑Month Contract)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Integration Architect to lead the design and delivery of enterprise‑wide integrations for SAP S/4HANA and related systems. This 6‑month contract position is based in Brisbane and focuses on building scalable, secure, and maintainable integration solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Design end‑to‑end technical integration architectures across SAP S/4HANA, SAP CPI, SAP BTP and external platforms.
• Create scalable integration patterns using RFC, IDoc, OData, REST, SOAP and related APIs.
• Collaborate with solution architects, functional experts and infrastructure teams to translate business requirements into robust technical designs.
• Produce and maintain Solution Architecture Design (SAD) and Solution Implementation Design (SID) documentation.
• Define networking, firewall, routing, authentication and secure access requirements.
• Implement identity and authentication frameworks (SSO, SAML, OAuth, certificates).
• Ensure compliance with enterprise architecture standards, security policies and industry best practices.
• Support performance, scalability, monitoring, logging and operational optimisation of integrated environments.
• Communicate technical concepts to both technical and non‑technical stakeholders and mentor internal teams.

Required profile

• 10+ years of experience in integration architecture within large, complex enterprises.
• Deep expertise in SAP S/4HANA integration landscapes and supply‑chain processes.
• Proven ability to produce high‑quality architectural documentation (SAD, SID).
• Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
• Experience in regulated industries such as healthcare or pharmaceuticals is desirable.
