ICT Procurement & Contracts Officer (12-month contract)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced ICT Procurement & Contracts Officer to join a Queensland Government organisation on an initial 12-month contract. You will work within a collaborative procurement team, managing end-to-end ICT procurement and contract administration across a range of technology projects.

Key responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end ICT procurement activities.
• Prepare procurement strategies, evaluation plans and tender documentation.
• Support RFQ and ITO processes through to contract award.
• Assist stakeholders with scope development and procurement planning.
• Facilitate evaluation activities and contract negotiations.
• Prepare briefing notes and procurement recommendations for senior leadership.
• Manage contract administration, including variations and extensions.
• Maintain procurement records and documentation.
• Liaise with finance, shared services and vendors to support procurement operations.

Required profile

• Demonstrated experience delivering end-to-end ICT procurement activities.
• Strong knowledge of Queensland Government procurement frameworks and policies.
• Experience managing complex ICT sourcing and contract administration.
• Experience developing tender documentation, evaluation plans and contract documentation.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational abilities.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Recent ICT procurement experience within Queensland Government.
• Experience using QITC contract templates.
• Experience supporting ICT contracts, software renewals and technology procurement initiatives.
