General Labourer – Permanent Full‑Time in Mackay

About the role

Join BildGroup's Urban Division as a General Labourer working on subdivisions, bulk earthworks and utility installations across Mackay. This is a permanent full‑time position offering stable weekly income and the benefit of returning home each night.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare sites, dig, and level ground for construction activities.
• Assist plant operators, pipelayers and other trades on‑site.
• Spot heavy machinery and manage material movements safely.
• Use hand and power tools effectively and in compliance with safety standards.
• Maintain a clean, hazard‑free work environment.

Required profile

• Prior physical labour experience in civil construction, subdivisions, roadworks or utilities.
• Valid Construction Induction White Card and a current driver’s licence.
• Strong commitment to on‑site safety and a positive, team‑oriented attitude.
• Reliability, punctuality and a solid work ethic.

Required skills

• Proficiency with hand tools.
• Proficiency with power tools.
• Material handling and spotting for heavy machinery.
