Alumni and Community Relations Coordinator

About the role

The Alumni and Community Relations Coordinator will join the Office of Development and Alumni Relations at Edith Cowan University. Reporting to the Alumni Relations Manager, the role focuses on creating and delivering engaging alumni content across digital channels, building stakeholder relationships, and supporting alumni events and programs.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and deliver ECU’s alumni communications across digital channels including LinkedIn, Facebook, eDMs and website content.
• Create compelling alumni‑focused content such as feature stories, newsletters, campaigns and targeted communications.
• Research and develop engaging alumni stories that showcase achievements, impact and community connection.
• Proactively assess communication opportunities and select the most effective channels to maximise engagement outcomes.
• Build strong relationships with alumni, internal stakeholders and external partners to support meaningful engagement initiatives.
• Monitor digital engagement and campaign performance, identifying opportunities for optimisation and continuous improvement.
• Utilise ECU’s CRM to maintain records, extract reporting and analyse engagement performance.
• Support the coordination of alumni events, mentoring initiatives, recognition programs and community engagement activities.
• Assist with volunteer and alumni ambassador activities where relevant.
