Employee Experience Manager

About the role

The Employee Experience Manager will lead and shape the experience of a large frontline workforce at Melbourne Airport, ensuring a safe, high‑performing and engaged environment that supports Qantas’ operational and customer service goals.

Key responsibilities

• Lead a cohort of Customer Service Supervisors and Agents, providing values‑led visibility and coaching during day‑of‑operations.
• Drive performance, manage conduct, EBA matters and safety/fitness‑for‑duty compliance.
• Ensure consistent application of behavioural and service standards across the frontline.
• Partner with Training, Safety, Planning and HR to identify capability gaps and deliver targeted development programmes.
• Embed continuous‑improvement practices and lead employee‑engagement initiatives to strengthen workplace culture.

Required profile

• Proven people‑leadership experience in a large, frontline or industrialised environment.
• Demonstrated ability to coach and develop teams, driving performance and growth.
• Strong background managing the full employee lifecycle, including performance, conduct, safety and wellbeing.
• Working knowledge of HR/IR policies, procedures and systems.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills across operations, safety and training.
• Continuous‑improvement mindset with a commitment to customer excellence and safety.
