Terminal Operator – Coal Terminal (Hay Point)

About the role

The Hay Point Terminal, part of BHP’s coal export operations, is seeking a Terminal Operator to join the Port Production team on a lifestyle roster. Reporting to the Shift Supervisor, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient handling of coal from train unloading through stacking to ship loading.

Key responsibilities

• Operate and monitor automated and semi‑automated fixed plant equipment.
• Support shift relief, day‑work operations and routine housekeeping.
• Collaborate with team members to meet safe production targets.
• Maintain compliance with safety, health, community and environmental standards.

Required profile

• Proven experience in a port or bulk‑materials handling environment.
• Familiarity with fixed‑plant and automated equipment, preferably ship loader operation.
• Ability to obtain and retain a Maritime Security Identification Card (MSIC).
• Values‑driven attitude with strong interpersonal skills.
