Senior Project Manager – Insurance Transformation (Brisbane)

About the role

We are partnering with one of Australia’s largest member‑focused financial institutions to deliver a high‑profile transformation initiative within its Insurance function. The Senior Project Manager will lead the improvement of payment recovery, operational processes, and controls across the insurance claims and payments domain.

Key responsibilities

• Lead end‑to‑end delivery of the transformation programme, from planning through implementation and transition.
• Manage scope, schedule, budget, risks, issues and dependencies.
• Engage senior stakeholders across business, operations, risk, compliance and technology.
• Oversee process‑improvement and control‑uplift initiatives.
• Ensure alignment with governance, compliance and risk‑management frameworks.
• Provide regular reporting to program leadership and steering committees.
• Coordinate vendors, delivery partners and internal teams to achieve outcomes.

Required profile

• Proven experience delivering complex business transformation projects in regulated financial environments.
• Background in insurance, superannuation, wealth management, banking or broader financial services.
• Demonstrated ability to manage projects involving claims, payments, recoveries, remediation, risk and compliance.
• Strong stakeholder‑management and executive‑reporting capabilities.
