About the role
The Royal Women’s Hospital in Parkville is seeking a Senior Registrar in Obstetrics and Gynaecology for a 12‑month fixed‑term position commencing February 2027. The role involves delivering high‑quality clinical care to women and newborns across both obstetric and gynaecology services within a leading tertiary centre.
Key responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive inpatient and outpatient care for obstetric and gynaecology patients, including management of routine and high‑risk cases.
- Rotate through obstetrics and gynaecology units, participating in deliveries, surgeries, and specialist clinics.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams of midwives, trainees, consultants and allied health professionals.
- Contribute to teaching and supervision of junior medical staff and trainees.
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation and adhere to hospital policies and regulatory standards.
Required profile
- Medical degree (MB BS or equivalent) and registration with AHPRA.
- Minimum four years of accredited training in Obstetrics and Gynaecology.
- Preferably an accredited RANZCOG trainee.
- Eligibility to participate in the Victorian Senior Registrar Match administered by RANZCOG.
