Senior Accountant – Tax, Compliance & Business Advisory

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Accountant to join our growing advisory team in Sydney CBD. The role combines tax, compliance and business advisory responsibilities for a diverse client base, including startups and high‑net‑worth individuals. You will work in a collaborative environment that values work‑life balance and professional development.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct technical research and provide tax and business advice to clients.
• Manage compliance obligations such as payroll tax, land tax, fringe benefit tax, stamp duty and ASIC filings.
• Prepare financial statements and tax returns in accordance with applicable accounting standards.
• Respond to client inquiries and deliver tailored advice.
• Meet KPIs related to productivity, billing, debtors, work‑in‑progress and write‑offs.
• Participate in project assignments aligned with overall business needs.

Required profile

• Minimum four years of experience in a professional accounting practice, preferably in a business advisory role.
• Strong understanding of tax and compliance requirements.
• Pursuing or near completion of CA certification.
• Curious, self‑driven and able to work autonomously.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to manage multiple deadlines.
