Registered Nurse – Day Surgery (Part‑time)

About the role

The Royal Women’s Hospital is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join the Day Surgery Unit/Day Procedure Centre on a part‑time basis (0.47 FTE). This role offers the chance to work in a dynamic, supportive team delivering safe, high‑quality surgical care to women.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor patients throughout the surgical episode, from admission to discharge, ensuring safe and holistic care.
• Assess, plan, implement and re‑evaluate nursing interventions in line with peri‑operative protocols.
• Maintain a safe environment by adhering to occupational health and safety standards.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including anaesthetists, surgeons and pain services.
• Participate in ongoing education and professional development to keep skills current.

Required profile

• AHPRA‑registered Nurse with current practising rights.
• Experience in peri‑operative, day‑surgery or anaesthetic nursing.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Commitment to advancing women’s health and delivering positive patient outcomes.
