Project Manager – Utility Scale Battery Deployment

About the role

We are looking for a Project Manager to join our Local Deployment team in APAC, supporting the growing Utility Scale Battery Storage (Megapack) business. Based in South or Western Australia, you will oversee the safe and compliant delivery of large‑scale storage projects from engineering through commissioning.

Key responsibilities

• Own project execution, managing scope, schedule and stakeholder alignment.
• Lead EPC sub‑contractors across design, construction, commissioning and handover.
• Manage grid connection agreements during construction and testing phases.
• Coordinate internal and external stakeholders from contract signing to service handover.
• Identify and close gaps in scope and responsibility to ensure project success.
• Support finance with compliance data and uphold contractual conditions.
• Ensure all work is performed safely, with high quality and continuous improvement.
• Prepare regular status and risk reports.

Required profile

• Engineering degree (Civil preferred) or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of end‑to‑end construction experience.
• Proven delivery of projects in renewable energy, power distribution or utilities.
• Willingness to travel up to 50% (mostly local, occasional international).
• Strong knowledge of construction contracts, sub‑contracts and bid processes.
• Ability to manage field construction activities and resources.
• Basic understanding of electrical infrastructure.
• Self‑starter with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.
• Experience leading matrixed project teams and excellent communication skills.
