Production Support Manager – Brisbane

About the role

The Production Support Manager leads the production support function within Brisbane Base Maintenance, ensuring aircraft maintenance operations are delivered on time, on budget, and to the highest safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the production support shop lifecycle and drive operational efficiency initiatives across Brisbane Base Maintenance.
• Partner with senior leaders to foster a performance‑based culture, champion change, and embed continuous improvement practices.
• Oversee resource alignment, workload management, and production readiness to meet customer requirements.
• Build strong stakeholder relationships with Qantas Engineering, CAMO, and external suppliers for seamless operational delivery.
• Ensure compliance with CASA regulations, Qantas Engineering policies, and workplace health and safety standards.
• Provide strategic leadership in safety, operational performance, and people management across production support functions.
• Lead business improvement initiatives and contribute to the Qantas Group’s engineering transformation program.

Required profile

• 10+ years of experience in aircraft maintenance, production support, or a related engineering environment.
• Proven leadership experience managing multidisciplinary teams in a high‑performance setting.
• Strong safety‑first mindset with a track record of ensuring regulatory compliance.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
