Primary Teacher – Full-time/Part-time

About the role

Roebourne District High School is building a pool of primary teachers for permanent and fixed‑term positions, available full‑time or part‑time throughout the 2026 school year and into Term 2 of 2027. Successful candidates will join a vibrant community where 98% of students identify as Aboriginal and will help deliver culturally responsive learning.

Key responsibilities

• Inspire and support primary‑age learners to improve literacy and numeracy outcomes.
• Collaborate with the Aboriginal Islander Education Officer team and local community to embed Country‑connected curriculum.
• Apply whole‑school approaches, explicit teaching methods, and Teaching for Impact strategies.
• Design and deliver innovative lessons aligned with the Western Australian Curriculum.
• Maintain positive relationships with students, families, and community partners.

Required profile

• Passion for building strong relationships with students, parents, and the community.
• Experience or commitment to trauma‑informed and culturally responsive practice.
• Ability to generate fresh, engaging learning experiences.
• Deep understanding of the Western Australian Curriculum and capacity to design innovative programs.
• Team‑oriented mindset with a focus on professional growth.
