Operational Buyer

About the role

The Operational Buyer will support the factory manufacturing plan by purchasing raw and packaging materials, as well as sundry items, while ensuring compliance with Nestlé policies and corporate governance. The role combines procurement, inventory management, and cross‑functional collaboration to keep production running smoothly.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with safety, health and environmental standards in the warehouse and shipping areas.
• Manage vendor performance, ensuring delivery in full and on time through regular reviews.
• Handle quality incidents via the QP system and participate in internal audits.
• Perform master data health checks and maintain business continuity planning requirements.
• Oversee RFA and RSPO portals and related documentation.
• Execute MRP planning for raw and packaging materials, forecast commodities, and coordinate shipping and supply.
• Control inventory levels of commodities, raw and packaging materials, minimizing write‑off costs.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives and support new product development projects.

• Strong communication skills to understand stakeholder needs and negotiate solutions.
• Excellent organisational abilities to prioritise tasks and manage factory impact.
• Proven team player who can take ownership of responsibilities and escalate issues when needed.
• Resilient mindset suited to a dynamic post‑COVID supply‑chain environment.

Required skills

• Global commodity processes including importing, shipping, MACC and commodity forecasting.
• Local and international supplier management.
• Knowledge of stock levels and inventory optimisation to avoid out‑of‑stock situations.
• Proficiency with SAP.
• Advanced use of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Power BI.
