About the role
The Medication Safety Improvement Facilitator provides leadership for quality medicines governance across the Northern Sydney Local Health District. This permanent, full‑time position is based in the Clinical Governance Unit at the Royal North Shore Hospital campus and focuses on safe, cost‑effective, evidence‑based use of medicines.
Key responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate medication safety initiatives and governance processes.
- Develop, implement and monitor policies to ensure appropriate use of medicines.
- Facilitate stakeholder consultation, negotiation and consensus building across clinical teams.
- Provide education and presentation on medication safety best practices.
- Analyse medication safety data and drive continuous improvement.
Required profile
- Bachelor or postgraduate degree in Pharmacy with eligibility for AHPRA registration.
- Minimum three years recent, extensive post‑graduate clinical experience as a Hospital Pharmacist.
- Excellent oral and written communication, consultation and stakeholder management skills.
- Demonstrated ability to lead, negotiate and facilitate multidisciplinary teams.
Required skills
- Computer literacy (use of pharmacy information systems and standard office software).
