Graduate Registered Nurse Program – Part‑time (12‑month contract)

About the role

The Royal Women’s Hospital is offering multiple part‑time Graduate Registered Nurse positions on 12‑month contracts (32‑36 hours per week) at its Parkville campus. This graduate program provides hands‑on experience across specialised women’s health, neonatal, peri‑operative and day‑surgery services.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver individual, patient‑centred nursing care, recognising normal and abnormal signs through observation, interview and physical examination.
• Communicate patient assessments and care plans effectively to the nursing team and multidisciplinary colleagues.
• Collaborate with senior nurses and other health professionals to develop and implement care options.
• Assess, plan, implement, evaluate and document nursing interventions contemporaneously.

Required profile

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a collaborative mindset.
• Eligibility for AHPRA registration by February or May 2026.
• Current Working with Children Check.
• Eligibility to register with the Postgraduate Medical Council of Victoria Allocation and Placement Service.
• Strong desire to contribute to women’s and newborn health.
