Front Office Manager

About the role

Southport Sharks is looking for a confident Front Office Manager to lead daily operations at Mantra at Sharks. This full‑time, salaried position ensures every guest experience is welcoming, professional and seamless from arrival to departure.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, coach and support the Front Office team.
• Oversee daily arrivals, departures, reservations and guest enquiries.
• Manage guest complaints and resolve issues quickly and professionally.
• Coordinate with Housekeeping and Maintenance to ensure rooms and public areas are ready.
• Prepare rosters aligned with business demand and budget.
• Ensure accurate guest accounts, banking and administrative processes.
• Support upselling opportunities such as room upgrades and packages.
• Provide recognition and service to loyalty members and VIP guests.
• Maintain communication across Hotel, Club, Fitness Centre, Food & Beverage, Gaming and Events teams.
• Support compliance with safety, privacy, emergency and operational procedures.

Required profile

• Energetic, organised and guest‑focused leader.
• Proven experience in Front Office, hotel operations or guest services in a leadership role.
• Strong communication and problem‑solving abilities.
• Passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences.
• Confidence handling guest complaints and operational issues.
• Attention to detail in reservations, billing and administration.
• Ability to roster according to business demand.
• Experience with hotel systems and reservations processes.
