Formsetters, Concreters & Steelfixers – Trade Roles for High Purity Alumina Project

About the role

McCosker Contracting is delivering the concrete works package for the Alpha High Purity Alumina plant in Gladstone. The project requires a crew of skilled formsetters, concreters and steelfixers to construct over 10,000 m³ of reinforced concrete structures within the next 12 months.

Key responsibilities

• Set up and install formwork for large‑scale concrete pours.
• Place, finish and cure reinforced concrete according to engineering specifications.
• Install and secure steel reinforcement (steelfixing) within formwork.
• Follow FIFO/DIDO roster (2 weeks on, 1 week off) and maintain site safety standards.

Required profile

• Relevant trade certificate or proven experience in formsetting, concreting or steelfixing.
• Current driver’s licence and valid Construction Industry White/Blue Card.
• Strong safety mindset, reliability and ability to work well in a team.
