Design Engineer II – Customer Drawings

About the role

We are looking for a Design Engineer II to create and revise technical drawings and 3D models for patient-specific solutions in the medical technology field. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure designs meet technical, regulatory and customer requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Create and update technical drawings and 3D models for patient-specific products.
• Assess technical feasibility of customer requirements and develop compliant solutions.
• Maintain project data in the internal workflow system (EDS).
• Collaborate with Sales, Customer Service, Production and Projects to deliver high-quality drawings on time.
• Support change processes, continuous improvement and knowledge sharing.
• Participate in cross-functional projects, meetings and customer interactions.
• Assist in training new employees.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent qualification with several years of design or medical-technology experience.
• Hands-on experience with CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks) for 3D modeling and drawing creation.
• Basic understanding of medical technology or engineering principles.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.
• Structured, reliable and detail-oriented work style.
• Good English; German is a plus.
• Experience with ERP systems (e.g., NAV, SAP) is a plus.
