Content Optimisation Specialist

About the role

We are expanding our eCommerce portfolio and need a Content Optimisation Specialist to drive organic growth across Mitre 10 and Home Hardware. You will work hands‑on to improve website content, from keyword research to SEO‑friendly product descriptions and engaging blog posts.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse customer search behaviour using enterprise SEO tools and turn insights into high‑performing content.
• Lead keyword research strategies for SEO, GEO and emerging AEO optimisation.
• Identify content gaps on category pages, product detail pages and editorial sections.
• Write and refine SEO‑focused product descriptions, blog posts and other editorial content, leveraging AI tools where appropriate.
• Improve site architecture, internal linking, page hierarchy and overall content discoverability.
• Monitor and report on keyword performance, trends and content impact.
• Collaborate with Social Media and broader Marketing teams to repurpose content effectively.

Required profile

• Hands‑on experience in SEO or eCommerce content optimisation.
• Strong conceptual understanding of past, present and future SEO trends, including AI‑driven search.
• Experience with enterprise SEO platforms such as BrightEdge, SEMrush, Ahrefs or Screaming Frog.
• Exposure to eCommerce platforms like Adobe Commerce, Magento or Shopify.
• Confidence working with CMS platforms and website analytics tools.
• Excellent writing and analytical abilities to turn data into actionable recommendations.
• Curiosity, commercial thinking and a genuine interest in how customers search online.
