Community Engagement Coordinator

About the role

The Community Engagement Coordinator will act as the primary connector between Inclusive Employment Australia (IEA) and communities across Launceston, North East Tasmania, and the North West Coast. You will build trust, open doors, and strengthen partnerships to increase jobseeker referrals and support pathways for people with disability, injury or illness.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain effective partnerships with employment services, disability providers, RTOs, TAFEs, schools and community groups.
• Increase caseloads by fostering relationships and identifying referral opportunities.
• Facilitate collaboration between external partners and IEA teams to ensure participant needs are met.
• Represent IEA at industry events, market days and showcases.
• Produce monthly Community Development reports and update the Partner Portal.
• Support employers in adopting disability‑inclusive employment practices.

Required profile

• Experience in employment services or a related community sector with knowledge of disability support.
• Strong ability to identify, assess and develop new partnership opportunities.
• Commercial acumen, negotiation skills and capacity to manage competing demands.
• Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
