About the role
We are partnering with a specialist engineering solutions business to find an experienced Business Development Manager. The role focuses on driving growth across key infrastructure and mining accounts through strategic account development and disciplined B2B sales execution.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and grow relationships across the infrastructure and mining markets.
- Identify key customers and create strategic account plans to generate repeat business.
- Engage with engineers, contractors, consultants and other technical stakeholders.
- Lead site visits, client meetings, presentations and technical discussions.
- Coordinate proposals, estimates and commercial submissions.
- Collaborate closely with internal technical, estimating and operations teams.
- Manage opportunities and client activity through Salesforce.
- Follow up proposals, negotiate outcomes and close sales.
- Support smooth project handovers once work is won.
- Maintain strong client service standards before, during and after project delivery.
Required profile
- Minimum 5 years of technical B2B sales experience.
- Background in building, construction, engineering, infrastructure or mining markets.
- Strong commercial acumen and clear understanding of the sales process.
- Confidence engaging with technical stakeholders and translating client issues into solutions.
- Excellent communication, proposal writing and relationship management abilities.
- Strong organisational discipline and experience managing a CRM/sales pipeline.
- Proactive, accountable and results‑focused approach.
- Current driver licence and full Australian working rights.
- Tertiary qualification in building, construction, engineering or a related discipline (highly regarded).
