Architect/Designer – Education Projects

About the role

Woods Bagot is seeking an experienced Architect or Designer to join its education team in Sydney. You will work on large‑scale tertiary and school projects, collaborating with a global network of designers to create innovative learning environments.

Key responsibilities

• Lead design development for education‑focused projects, from concept through construction documentation.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across the firm’s international studios.
• Apply empathy‑driven design thinking to shape spaces that inspire students and educators.
• Maintain design quality and compliance with local regulations and client requirements.
• Contribute to the studio’s knowledge base and mentor junior staff.

Required profile

• 6–15 years of professional architectural experience.
• Master of Architecture degree; architectural registration preferred.
• Portfolio demonstrating design process, technical skill, and completed projects.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Legal right to work in Australia (Australian citizen or permanent resident).

Required skills

• Proficiency with Revit.
• Proficiency with Rhino.
