VP / Director – Industrials & Business Services (Global PE Fund)

About the role

This senior position sits within a leading global private‑equity firm’s industrials and business services investment team in Sydney. You will lead the full investment lifecycle, from sourcing deals to creating value in portfolio companies, and represent the firm across the Australian private‑equity market.

Key responsibilities

• Drive deal origination and build relationships with targets, intermediaries and advisors.
• Lead end‑to‑end transaction execution, including structuring, negotiation and investment‑committee processes.
• Oversee financial modelling, valuation and due‑diligence workstreams.
• Participate actively in portfolio companies post‑acquisition, including board representation and value‑creation initiatives.
• Manage and mentor junior investment professionals.
• Represent the firm in the Australian private‑equity market.

Required profile

• 7–12 years of private‑equity experience, preferably with direct investing exposure.
• Significant sector experience in industrials (manufacturing, industrial services, engineered products, automation, or business services).
• Proven track record of leading transactions from origination through exit.
• Experience working directly with management teams to drive operational outcomes.
• Prior M&A experience at a top‑tier investment bank is a plus.
