Village Manager (FIFO) – Labona, QLD

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Village Manager to lead the daily operations of a large remote village in Labona, Queensland. The role is FIFO (fly‑in‑fly‑out) and involves overseeing accommodation, catering, housekeeping, grounds and support services to ensure safety, comfort and compliance for residents.

Key responsibilities

• Lead day‑to‑day village operations, ensuring safe, efficient and high‑quality service delivery.
• Manage teams across accommodation, catering, housekeeping, grounds and village services.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders and employees.
• Drive operational performance, compliance and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Oversee workforce planning, rostering, recruitment, training and performance management.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental and company standards.
• Monitor budgets, costs, reporting and overall financial performance.
• Conduct site inspections, audits, incident investigations and safety meetings.
• Promote employee engagement, wellbeing, diversity and inclusion.
• Deliver exceptional customer experiences while meeting contractual and KPI requirements.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing large‑scale village, accommodation, hospitality or remote site operations.
• Strong leadership experience with diverse operational teams.
• Knowledge of food safety, HACCP, workplace health and safety and environmental compliance.
• Experience managing client relationships and delivering services against KPIs.
• Financial acumen including budgeting, reporting and cost management.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement and problem‑solving abilities.
• Physically fit, able to work long shifts (up to 11 hours) and endure extreme weather conditions.
• Willingness to obtain a recent National Police Check and pass pre‑employment medical screening.
