Vehicle Service Technician

About the role

As a Vehicle Service Technician at Tesla, you will uphold the company’s high service standards and deliver an exceptional experience to every Tesla customer. You will work in a dynamic, collaborative environment where continuous learning and improvement are encouraged.

Key responsibilities

• Perform basic and advanced diagnostics and repairs on all Tesla vehicle models.
• Work both independently and as part of a team to maximise service efficiency.
• Provide feedback to internal teams to improve procedures and products.
• Operate a variety of hand, power, and shop tools while documenting all repairs accurately.
• Inspect, maintain, and request replacement of service equipment as needed.
• Partner with other departments for tasks such as vehicle detailing and configuration.
• Assist in onboarding and training new technicians when required.

Required profile

• Fully qualified Motor Mechanic or Registered Vehicle Technician (Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology or equivalent).
• Minimum 2 years of experience as a qualified mechanic or technician.
• Strong knowledge of vehicle maintenance methods, parts, and tools, including HVAC, hydraulic, brake, and electronic systems.
• Experience using diagnostic scan tools and operating scopes.
• Experience with electric or hybrid vehicles is a plus.
• Creative problem‑solver and advocate for the Tesla brand.
